GUIDE: How to go JB (Johor Bahru) from Singapore (Jurong East)

Yesterday, we decided to go for 2 day 1 night weekend trip to JB via 2nd link from Jurong East! Overall, it was a pleasant ride - no ridiculous waiting queues for bus, there were seats most of the time and no jams. Of course, timing to go and back to Singapore is important and luck.

Quick summary:
Jurong East to Bukit Indah (CW3 SGD$4)
Bukit Indah to Sutra (by taxi RM20)
Sutera to Jurong East (SL1 or CW3S RM6)

Saturday 1pm - just passport and a set of spare clothes, no advance booking of hotel; we were at Jurong East bus interchange queuing in the lane "CW3/CW4". Bought a bottle of 100plus beside the queue in case of the bus ride took too long and got thirsty.

* CW3 and CW4 both go to custom, you can take any one. Only when you reached Malaysia's custom then you have to take the correct CW bus.
* SGD$4 per person ticket can be bought just before you board the bus. Keep the tickets with you.
* We were going to Bukit Indah first.

After crossing Singapore and Malaysia customs, we were going to board CW3 to Bukit Indah - you can see the 3 lanes "1", "2" & "3" at the furthest part of bus terminal. After boarding the bus, we arrived Bukit Indah in 15mins where most people will alight there. Many taxi drivers will approach you. We took a cab RM20 to You Kee XO to have our favorite must-eat char siew. 2015/01/You-Kee-XO-char-siew.jpg

It was very difficult to get a cab to Sutera after we had the char siew. My husband hailed a cab in the middle of the road when red light. Not advisable - easier way is to download mobile app "Easy Taxi" or ask the restaurant to help you to call cab.

The hotels in Sutera rates start from RM118 for standard double room. We ended up in J Hotel - a themed hotel with rooms in different designs. Their prices start from RM138 to RM198. We took the bigger room - mini boutique room at RM198. We love it! 2015/01/J-Hotel-JB-Sutera.jpg

After washing up, we had coffee at "Just Want Coffee" and went to KTV "Loud Speaker" RM28 per pax for 3 hours session on Saturday night with free flow drink. 2015/01/just-want-coffee-sutera-jb.jpg

Around 9.30pm after our KTV session, we had our dinner at our favorite Japanese restaurant - Nijyumara Japanese Restaurant

* Hotel, KTV and Japanese Restaurant are all located in the same area. All walkable distance. Beside those places, there're massage places, shopping mall, facials, club, pubs, huge supermarket in the mall and a lot of food in Sutera area. On Sunday, we headed back to Singapore after lunch. Boarded SL1 from Sutera Mall at 1.40pm. You can take CW3S too. To double confirm, just check with bus driver. Here's the bus schedule outside Sutera Mall:
