Recipe: Winged beans with Sambal chilli and dried shrimps

Today my husband and I walked past a wet market and he saw this weird looking vegetable and decided to cook it. So we searched online for its name and recipe.
This is actually beans and it is called Winged beans (four angled bean) 四凌豆 and we got the recipe from here.

While searching about this bean, we have found out it has a lot of benefits like high protein, anti-oxidant, vitamin A B & C and its good for person who is on diet. Read more from here.

This was his first time cooking and he did a great job!

Nakhon Kitchen - Thai food in Singapore

Who is spicy lover? Me! And I'm blessed with a husband who loves spicy food more than me and brings me around for awesome spicy food.

Talk about spicy food, one of the cuisines which is famous for spicy food is Thai Cuisine. A Thai restaurant in Singapore that will never goes wrong is.. Nakhon Kitchen in Kovan and recently they have opened another branch in Ang Mo Kio. Tried both places and their standard are the same. So no worries about quality drop in new branch.

Each dish costs $6 on average. Very value for money and no GST and service charge. Good service from the Thais there. They speak good Singaporean English and are very polite.

My must-order list in Nakhon Kitchen is:
1) Phad Thai or Phad Thai Tang Hoon
2) Tom Yam Goong (thick base)
3) Pandan Chicken
4) Fried pork with Garlic

Best pork satay in Singapore, Seng Kang - Poh Kee

I generally like satay. It used to be just a good-to-have-food with group of friends in coffee shops for me. But this pork satay is one of the best thing I ever had. Precise mixtures of fat and lean meat per stick; special homemade satay sauce with grinded pineapple makes it extra delicious!

It costs 60cents per stick, slightly costlier than normal 50cents per stick but for the amount of effort, it is worth it lah.
* Be prepared to wait for 10-30mins.
* Chicken satay tastes normal, I have decided to stop ordering it in recent visits(save stomach space for more pork satay).

Bei Zhan Restaurant 北栈 - Good food in Malacca

My husband and friends love road trip to Malaysia. One of the most frequent visit area for us other than JB is Malacca! Here are a few 'die die must eat' food in Malacca! One of them is.. Bei Zhan Restaurant 北栈 (our all time favorite) All the dishes there tasted fantastic! It's really hard to find a place without a single bad dish.. But hey, we found it at Bei Zhan! It costed around Sgd20-25 per pax with cod fish, salad prawns, soft shell crabs and too many to be named! Value for money because you can never get this kind of food with this kind of price in Singapore. * Remember to make reservation when you have a large group or going on a weekend.
